Delete your Sprout Affiliate data

This page explains how to ask us to delete your account and the data held about you in Sprout Affiliate, the app published by O10 Media LLC for Shopify stores, their affiliates, and the Sprout Affiliate apps for iPhone, iPad and Android.

How to request deletion

Email support@sproutaffiliate.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject Delete my data.
Tell us which store's program you are in, so we can find the right record. If you are a store owner, tell us your myshopify.com domain.
We reply to confirm, and complete the deletion within 30 days.

You do not need the app installed to make the request, and there is no charge. Store owners can also delete everything themselves at any time by uninstalling Sprout Affiliate from their Shopify admin; see below.

What is deleted

On an affiliate's request we delete the personal information we hold about that affiliate:

Name, email address, and any phone number or company name on the profile.
Payout details, including a PayPal or Venmo address and any bank or mailing details, and any tax form on file.
Referral handle and discount codes, saved links, and messages exchanged with the store.
The click and page-visit records tied to that affiliate, including the IP addresses recorded with them.
The account itself, so the sign-in stops working.

On a store owner's request, or when a store uninstalls the app, we delete all of that store's data: its programs, its affiliates, their commission records, payout history, messages, settings, and its access token.

What is kept, and for how long

Anonymised commission and payout records are kept where a store still needs its own financial history. These carry the amount and the date with the person's name, email, and payout details removed, and cannot be traced back to you.
Records we must keep by law, such as tax and accounting records of money actually paid, are kept for as long as the law requires and are then deleted.
Backups roll off on their own schedule and are fully overwritten within 90 days.

Nothing kept under the points above is used to contact you or to build a profile, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.

If your store uninstalls the app

When a merchant uninstalls Sprout Affiliate, Shopify sends us a shop/redact request about 48 hours later, and we permanently delete that store's data at that point. A Shopify customers/redact request anonymises the affiliate's personal information while leaving the anonymised commission records described above.
